Talk to the pastor of your church. You will need to get a marriage license from the courthouse, and your minister might be able to help.

Please ignore the racist comments here. Of course you can marry an illegal. It's not illegal to fall in love and we don't always get to pick who that person happens to be. I married an illegal. Some of these people seem to think we should be asking people their status before deciding to date them.

You will both need copies of your birth certificates. If either of you has been married before you need a copy of your divorce decree. That's it. Go get your marriage license at the courthouse and get married. Afterwards you just go online and print out the docs you need from the INS website to legalize him. He will get a work permit right away but it usually takes 2-3 years to get his greencard.

God bless you! Congratulations!

HI I am married with a canadian and I used to live in Cartersville ga. You need a lot of documents but to get married it depends on where he is from. Now all my hubby and I needed were our birth cert. and a drivers license. We got married very quick and quietly. (At the magistrates office) You have to do your research with the courthouse where you are, you could go to bartow county where it is eaisier. Email me if you have more questions on immigration too.
