i want to get a solar panel and i was wondering what one watt can power?

Not much more than a flashlight bulb. With one-watt capacity, it takes 42 days of 24 hour light to produce ten cents worth of power.

look at the nearest ( unlit ) light bulb. What does it say? 60 watts? 100 watts?
