http://dictionary.reference.com/ - Look up any words for which you're not sure on the meaning or spelling, so you don't have to ask and wait for answers. Also a great tool for thesaurus, when you need alternative words (like in writing an essay and not duplicating the same words over and over) but can't think of any off the top of your head.

Here's part of the dictionary definition it gives for that one, but feel free to look it up yourself too, for more info:

de·duct (d-dkt) Pronunciation Key
v. de·duct·ed, de·duct·ing, de·ducts
v. tr.
To take away (a quantity) from another; subtract.
To derive by deduction; deduce.

v. intr.
To take away a desirable part: Poor plumbing deducts from the value of the house.

Well if I am reading what you have said right, deducted is the past tense for deduct, which means to take something away, such as money. "I deducted money from my account"

i think it means taken away from something

example: My bill was deducted down 5 dollars because I skipped work.

if the teachers says ''points will be deducted from your paper if u cheat, that means the teacher will take off points''.

deducted means to take off of or to take away. (hope that helped)
p.s. why not just grab a dictionary?
