My computer works fine at first but when i play a video on the Media Player for a few mitunites, the video runs kind of chopping or skipping and that's when my computer starts to run very slow.
i have to restart my computer in order to for it to run normally. And if i use the Media Player again after i restart my computer, it just runs slow agian; And again, i have to restart my comp. Help me please?

I think that it could just be a ram issue. Try shutting down everything you don't need before watching a video. If you're just watching run of the mill mpg's and avi's, I would suggest using Winamp instead of Windows Media Player. Winamp doesn't suck up as much memory as Windows Media Player does.

Also are you watching streaming video? The choppiness could be the video trying to buffer(download the next chunk). Try saving videos to your hard drive and see if that works better.

1. Maybe you need codecs
2. Media Player cause a problem (reinstall it or use other player)
3. Other aplications are running using the CPU and memory so your playback is slow.

it might be the fact that your computers hard drive is old is just not a great one for games. you also might want to try downloading "SHOCK WAVE" this might make it a little better let me know when you find out! oh and good luck!!!
