Saw the article. I have seen these types of article for years. Read an old article from the 1940s that stated the world would be out of oil by the 1970s.

There are always people predicting doom & gloom, and like a broken clock they are right every now and then. But life goes on, people will improvise, adapt and overcome whatever fate throws at them. So why worry.

Yes, I read this article earlier today and it paints quite the scary picture. What we as humans, especially wealthy countries like America, Australia, and Canada need to do, it begin living within our means. Do not waste or use disposable things merely because we can afford to do so. That is pure foolishness. Most importantly, a renewed emphasis must be made on the concept of reuse and recycling programs. It is just a shame that we live in such a throw-away society.

Ecology is one of the biggest questions to biolgists.

The earth is ever changing through Evolution and Natural Selection. In other words the planet humans can adapt to the changes.

Earth is the biggest ecosystem reservoir.

Could there be more done or should there be more done.

Let me give you a good example. The deserts that we know today, the Sahara for one, once was able to have argiculture, populations of animals living and surviving, as well as human surviving.

Now there was some event and/or occurance that changed that. Yet man still survives and lives in the desert through the process of natural selection.

I don't know if we have to worry, as much as make preperations for the changes for our future generations. Those of us who don't care or not worried because they may be deceased, should at least worry for the future generation including their family members who will still be living.

Hope that helps.

Yes, It is such a horrible shame. I cant believe people just go about their day, have more kids, and bicker about Left/ Right bullshit and minority issues, when this is a time and an issue that should unite the ENTIRE planet like never before. If we do not all start to co-operate in a big way, well then, 50 years it is and I'm not having children!

Yeah and that hole that's in the ozone (That's ALWAYS BEEN THERE) is going to make the oceans boil.

We will adapt when we run out of oil. We will find a new energy sorce and move on. Good God stop buying into the mass media negativity.

Worry not! I know Jesus, my Lord, will be coming very soon for His Bride. Just think...if Jesus doesn't return very soon, the planet will get what it deserves...and then some!
