as long as you are taking straight vicodin (not a vicodin compound), and not mixing it with alcohol, two ibuprofen should not be a problem while taking it. If you have liver disease (hepatitis, hepatic failure, etc.) don't take the ibuprofen (active ingredient in motrin).
I repeat, do not mix these medications with alcohol!

Let me begin by saying that I am not a medical professional and cannot really offer advise on mixing drugs. But...it just so happens that I am taking a pain killer right now called "vicoprofen." It's a combo of ibuprofen and vicodin. Motrin is ibuprofen, right? The ibuprofen is for inflammation, and the vic is for the major pain. Are you in that serious of pain that you need both? I have an acutely abscessed tooth. Pain far worse than childbirth. Because if you don't need it, you shouldn't take it. Reading the warnings on my script was ridiculous! It can cause stomach bleeding (among dozens of other horrible side-effects/conditions), did you know that?

Never take two different pain medications together without the advice of a doctor. Vicodin is already Already strong pain reliever and Motrin is primarily for fever reducing. This puts double the stress on your liver and you can damage it severely. Your Liver does heal on its own through everything you do, but extra stress from all the acetaminophen will work your liver too hard.
Just take out the mortin. Unless your doctor says you can.

Just take the 2 vicodin and in 2 hours, take the motrin to help prevent breakthrough pain. This is only if the vicodin is to be taken every 4 hours. If it's every six, wait three hours to take the motrin.

Why? Vicodin is stronger than Motrin. You shouldn't need 2 pain killers.
Make sure that you check out the drug interaction section at the bottom of this page: http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/hydrocod_ad.htm
There are some interactions and abuse issues to check out here: http://www.oxyabusekills.com/Vicodin.html

Trust me, you will not need the motrin. I'm not sure what you need it for, but I had minor surgery on my toe to get the nail removed (it was ingrown). After the procedure, the doctor prescribed Vicoden for minor surgery to a 14 year old. It's safe (if used correctly), and very powerful.
They also use it for regular and major surgery. Dentists prescribe it, too. All your pain will go away. It might make you drowsy, though. Just DO NOT mix it with alcohol.

your breaking it a million/2 may be ok - it might provide you an excellent chop up. the only issues which you cant ruin in a million/2 are issues that are prolonged launch formula via particular actual residences of the pill itself. with the motrin, remember take with food i wouldnt advise taking it at artwork...it possibly will make you loopy. the motrin ought to help...it has soreness and inflammation residences. tylenol is for soreness and fever, yet have no anti inflammatory residences

Don't take any acetaminophen, its already in your vicodin. Vicoprofen is much safer than regular vicodin because it contains less acetaminophen. That makes it the painkiller that most doc's like.My moms back Dr told me this Monday.
