Shop at thrift stores and consignment shops. We always find great clothes, designer labels, cool styles, new or next-to-new, for pennies on the dollar. I know it would be nice if we could all afford to shop at "better" (which, to me, just means:expensive) stores, but, since that isn't a reality right now, try to make the best of it and I bet you'll be surprised at how many cool things you can find on the cheap.

My 15-year-old daughter is also very concerned about her appearance, too much so, IMO, but, she has done pretty well by finally agreeing to go with me to the local stores I mentioned. She has found dozens of items and always gets compliments on how great she looks from her friends at school. Last weekend she found a couple of "retro"-looking belts, a brand-new (still with the tags on them) pair of cool jeans, and two AE t-shirts, all for a grand total of $7.00!!!! YES $7.00!!!!

Be creative and willing to compromise, and most importantly, PLEASE try to believe me when I tell you that you are beautiful no matter what you're wearing, and have a whole lot to be grateful for. I tell my daughters to try and be thankful for what we DO have and not be too dramatic about what we DON'T have.

Things will get better after you have a job and a bit more money to spend, but, in the meantime, happy hunting and remember that a SMILE is your best accessory!

Here are the steps to making this cheap:

1)Go to all your fave clothes brand sites and subscribe to the newsletter,so they can give you special sales and coupons that only subscribers of the newsletter gets.

2)Look in some thrift stores, some clothes may be new.Who cares if they're worn? It's the style that counts.Where do ya think vintage comes from?

3)Take a trip to the mall:You might find big sales.I find 1 dollar shirts at my mall all the time.To do this, you must be willing to look until you found the price you're looking for.

4)Have a garage sale:Get rid of all the junk you don't use and most importantly, don't need! Try to get as much money as you can and if sombody can't afford the prices take it for cheaper!

5)Start a small business:Do this only if you're a good worker, you know you have the time, you're desperate for money and etc...Start moving lawns, babysitting, tutoring you neighbors little kids,etc...This is what I'm doing currently to save up for christmas presents.

Take my advice.I'm 12 and I've been in the exact same situation as you before.Good Luck!

Make your own style, there are ways to be stylish yet not have to pay as much as Abercrombie costs you. Try thrift stores, or a goodwill. If you an see if theres a salvation army in your area, there are tons of clothes, not always garanteed to find something but everything is cheap.

Well maybe start with a little job like babysitting. If you like those stores try shopping in ther clearance sections. Here are some sites that are cheap if you are willing to buy online:

It stinks that your mom won't buy you clothes, I really can't help because my parents use to get me what ever I wanted. Try to act more resonsible and maybe she will give you some money!! Hope it helps and good luck!!! = ]

Yes, If you like those brands, I should recommend another store called aeropostale. Much more cheap, similiar clothes. Sometimes they have half off sales and its the best thing!!!! It so cheap(as in low price) there!!(sometimes)

Also, getting a job at the stores you like will give you lots of discounts

try consignment shops or even EBAY! I got some GREAT jeans for $2.19! Under $10 with shipping.
If you dont have a bank account, you will prob need your mom to set up an account on there for you, then work out an agreement about paying her if you win something.

Asda is cheap and can get some good things. The things don't fall apart after one wash as many things from Primark do. Also Peacocks is good.

I think you shouldn't worry TOO much. Buy clothes at Target, Kmart, or Walmart. They usually have fashionable clothes, and look at clothing websites often and look at their "clearance." Like at AE they have shirts that are like $19.00 and their clearance are like $6! On the clearance rack or on the website, keep your eyes peeled. They are ALWAYS having clearance at any store, good luck.
