A four-gigabyte iPod Nano will hold approximately 1,000 songs. But this number will vary upon if you have any audiobooks, podcasts, or pictures. Also, if you do not already have the iPod Nano, I would recommend the Red iPod Nano which a portion of the proceeds goes to fighting AIDS, and it is special edition.

It just depends on how much you mb a song is if you convert it and lower the bit rate the mb drops but the quality is gonna suck but for 4gb I say about 1100 songs at 4-6 mb estimate each song

A 4 g ipod will hold a different capacity depending on the quality.

about 1000 a 1 gig is about 4-5 mg per song.
