??? Are you sure there is such a song? The only song I know of that's sung by Nat King Cole and written by Mel Torme is the Christmas song ("Chestnuts roasting on an open fire....), and it doesn't reference vultures or monkeys.

Sounds like you're thinking of "Straighten Up and Fly Right". The lyrics mention a buzzard and a monkey. Mel Torme wrote hundreds of songs, but this wasn't one of them. It was written in 1943 by Nat king Cole and Irving Mills. Google "Straighten Up and Fly Right". for full info.
