Just today I was working in class, and a substitute was in today for that class. We started working, and a group of people was were being quite loud, and I respectfully asked them to be quiet, and a girl was over there and she was like make me. I was like be quiet, afterwards she got really defensive about it, and was like u want me to hit u? One of her friends was like, dont piss her off. And i said, "i like it rough", but not with a sexually explicit or any sexual related tone, and she went directly went to the principal, seconds later. I was like wtf? I have known this girl since Elementary school, she is not a nice person on a regular basis, and so I was called to the office, and me and her and the principal talked. But the thing that pissed me off most was that he didnt listen to my story nearly at all. I was targeted as this predator, and she was fighting extrememly hard to get me suspended.

Now I have read this is considered sexual haressment, but ist it a little extreme?

Cuz I was shocked to see that a simple comment can ruin my high school career. Society is screwed up to blow things out of proportions so much.

ANd im not a bad person, I take AP classes, i have a 3.0+ GPA, I never get in fights. I just felt my comment got magnified to this horrible thing. I really dont see a point in doing that, does that just mean they dont have a sense of humor? I mean come on?! Its not like i was serious, or trying to create a Sexual innuendo.

Techniqly it was sexual haressment, i wont deny it. But I think we all need to lighten up a little, i mean sexual innuendos are funny at times, and can be taken playfully, but I think when people get all "offended" by it, they need to lighten up and get that stick out of there a**. But thats my opinion on people. I am more leaneant on these things, not everyone is. And thats why society can be a little hard to deal with at times.

Also, a lot of my classmates agree, that she blew it out of proportions when i returned, and that It was a harmless comment.

What a little twit! She is the type that makes girls look stupid although we aren't. I would stay as far away from this girl as possible. Ones like her are dangerous because they use the system to their benefit. The sad part is she may actually need it one day so she best be careful how many times she cries wolf. Your principle has to take each comment seriously because so much pressure is put on their backs regarding such issues so bear with him he is just doing his job. He isn't the culprit..she is.

Yes, I think it is a little extreme, but from somebody else's point of view, I can see how they could have mistook what you said for something else. Clearly, the mean girl you were talking about is either a ***** who likes getting people in trouble, or is too stupid to know what you meant. Just explain to the principal you didn't meant how it sounded, and it won't happen again.

Maybe. Try telling the whole story to a parent who could talk to the Principal for you. Also, try writing down your side of the story and giving it to the Principal. Then you could present the story from your point-of-view without being interrupted. Plus, people probably panicked and possibly over-reacted....talking with them a second time (and staying calm) might help.

Yes, a little extreme, but in the future, just avoid saying anything like that. Just try to ignore the loud people, is all I can tell you. A friend's husband just got fired for sexual harrassment, all he did was ask what exercises a female employee did to tighten her legs and butt. Boom, he was out the door!

Wow that is hilarious! You shouda said "Bite Me!" She took you to the office? Wow! thats a but kicking where im from. All I can say is you gotta read your rule book. Administrators take things such as sexual harassment really serious especially in a school setting.

well i can see where it can be taken out of context. just say to the principal that he is discriminating you by not listening to you your side of the story. you could explain that she threatened you which is an offence in australia. its called threat to cause serious injury. if she wants to really keep going wack on the assault thing. say you didnt want to make a complaint as you thought no one would listen. its unfair that girls get their way. im a lady but god thats just ridiculous

It isn't that he didn't believe you. And I am certain he did believe you. But, because you had to say something stupid like that, and because the student went forward with the complaint, it's his duty and obligation to investigate anything and all that may be linked to sexual harrassment. Had it been any other kind of complaint, he'd have favored your story. Saying something stupid like that not only jeopardises your position but his and the school's as well.

It was not harassment but inappropriate because what you said was a sexual innuendo.

Very Extreme, speak to your mom about it or dad. Maybe even a counselor will listen.
