There are two kinds of liars in this worlds my friend, men who say they never did and men who say they quite. But seriously, you won't find anything that speaks about this subect in the Bible. But what you will find is alot of people's opinion when you ask on this matter. Most religous persons tend to approach this subject with extreme piety and consider it a sin based on their opinion. I can assure you that when or if you ask preachers or priest about this, they will give you a dissertation of morality based soley on opinion and whatever dogmatic backround their belief's consist of. And while they may quote verses that refer to other subjects, There is absolutely nothing that refers to masterbation in the Bible. I have studied the biblical text for many years in an open and non bias pursuit, I look for only truth and what the text really says but most of all what it was meant to be when it was said. But while there is not any biblical reference on this matter, you may want to consider other options, Like marriage for example. If you are not ready to participate in this fine institution then I suggest that you at least incorporate in your life a little discretion and discilpine. Both will serve you well.

I think it is a natural part of life. How can you teach a partner to please you if you have no idea of what you like? Experiment. Have fun! Get to know yourself! It doesn't hurt anybody and it's certainly a lot better than sleeping around with different partners and ending up with some type of disease.

If we suppress natural urges, they do express themselves in other ways. Wet dreams are an example of this. If you continue to suppress it, that's how you end up with all those priests molesting little boys. Sex is a natural urge that needs to be expressed in a healthy manner.

And no, I'm not christian -- obviously.

to the best of my knowledge the bible does not mention any thing about pleasuring yourself. it is also a natural human/animal instinct. Yes I am a christian. people are embarrassed to discuss this and bygone days our parents taught us it was nasty and wrong. if you think back they did not tell you this to your urge/ instinct prompted you to masturbate. if you ask the clergy they will tell you yes. But then some of the clergy have sex with little boys and try to make excuses NOW THAT IS A SIN AND A CRIME.

if you seriously take anybody's advice on here, if you would actually seek guidence and wisdom from the bastion of the MTV generation, take my advice.

Masturbate to your heart's content. And ignore the bible, nothing good will come out of it. Your sense of morality is for you to determine, life is about happiness, it is about pleasure, not about following a bunch of goddamn rules. Happiness should determine your actions, do what brings you the greatest pleasure. If god were, as they say, a benvolent, loving patriarch, his actions in regards to you would be purely determined by what brings you to happiness. How has jerking off ever brought about anything negative? It brings pleasure, sensation, the very essence of what makes humanity a pleasure and a gift. People have ruled in the name of god since god's existence. Dare to oppose all that stands between you and euphoria. take my advice.

its fine buddy.... doesnt hurt anybody and is good. stop reading that book friend. read an encyclopedia, science book or novel instead. it'll do you, and the rest of the world some good. dont feel bad... that same book tells us to imediately kill all married people who have cheated, all gay and lesbians, all rebellious teenagers..and more.. we would have to kill half of the U.S. population if we were to do what the bible says. email me if anyone that hasnt read the bible wants all the verses.
evil evil invention religion is.
ur better off volenteering to help needy people than to just read that and feel like crap about yourself. or like most religious people.. dont read it and root for your religion like its a football team.
