They say "teens" should have around 8-9 hours of sleep. But we all know we never get that much. I am 17 and I get about 6 since I go to bed at 11 (homework....>:O) and wake up at 5:30. My school starts at 7:00 =(

Well 8-9 hours is the amount of sleep recomended. So also depending on how long it takes to get to sleep once you are in bed, if straight away then 10.15pm. But say it takes 1/2 an hour to fall asleep then 9:45 etc. But if done regularly and made a habit of going to sleep at the same time, your body clock will adjust and you can eventually go to bed at exactly 10.15pm and fall right into dreamland.

I would say no later than 9 or 9:30. I am 23 and I wake up at 6:30 or 7 every morning and I can't function if I go to bed past 10.

Well because you are a teenager you need sleep! 7 hours of sleep is alright but not enough. You need 8 1/2 or 9 hours asleep.

Teenagers definitely need their sleep. Their bodies are still growing and hormones are raging. This may sound strange, but I think you should be in bed between 8:00 - 9:00 pm to get up by 6:15 am.
