I turnned it on one morning and it came up with this DQHL could not be found......press Ctrl,Alt
And yes i know i could send it somewhere and they will retreave if possible...

unless you try to get it fixed then, yep, its lost...my hardrive just crashed a month ago...$200+ for a new one and installation...(80gb)

your operating system has been corrupted along with all the data on your hard drive. you ar better of replacing your hard drive. Formating it will fix the problem but for how long it is uncertain. That happened to me when i added a slave drive. Both hard drives went haywire and i lost my data. I formated it installed everything again, but the comp has not been the same since.
By the way i ran a data recovery after it crashed it retrieved about 95 percent of the files but almost every single one was corrupted.

Losing data on a hard drive is the worst nightmare of any computer owner. However, some hard drive problems can be easily fixed yourself by using easily available tools. I found the info at http://fixit.in useful
