How difficult was it?
Was it worth what you paid for it?
would you do it again?
Are you happy with it?
What would you change now?

We are seriously considering putting up a cabin / retirement home and love the look and feel. Trying to get some feedback.

Thanks in advance!

I'm getting ready to build one in Tennessee. Should start in a month or so. I'm doing a Barna log home but there are soooo many to choose from. Since no company will copy another's design you will end up going with the company that has the design you want. I think the sq foot cost is more than conventional. It's costing me around 160 sq ft but I plan on doing some of the work to help bring that cost down a little. My bank, Wells-Fargo says that's about right for a log home. One thing for sure, nothing beats them. People who have never seen one are really surprised when they look at them.

My Uncle did. It's great and is in the Blue Ridge Mts. It's pretty fun but can et boring. MAKE SURE THAT THERE ARE THINGS TO DO WITHING 30 MINUTES of your house. He bought it to write it off for taxes. And he only goes to it for vacation.
