couple points:

1. 330Ci, awesome ride, without an additional 10-15 large being invested in voiding the warranty
2. if you MUST drop 10-15 large, call active autowerke
3. by E39 engine swap, you're referring to 540? M5?
4. i dont want to be the one to break the news (but it seems that you've already heard):
"BMW has unveiled their new 335i coupe, which boasts a twin-turbo inline six-cylinder engine that produces an impressive 300 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque"

>>> heres the problem though,
the 330 is just not an efficient base engine to work with, that kit listed above will provide you with some additional power, but let me put this in perspective -
lets assume you trade it in for a 98/99 M3 & end up getting 5-10k back:
---------------------------------------
1996-1999 E36 M3 OBDII Turbo
---------------------------------------
Power: 398 BHP @ 8.5 psi
0 - 60 mph: 4.66sec
0 - 100 mph: 10.17 seconds
Top speed: 150+ mph
1/4 mile: 12.79 @ 110mph
Boost Level: 8.5 psi
Price: $8,700
just some food for thought, good luck

Wow, a 3 series beemer with a v8? You have to have the proper exhaust, electrical system, injection, ecu, etc etc... for it to operate properly. Is it worth it? Why not just get a Porsche 911. It would probably cost the same or less considering all the mods you need to do.
