Personally, I loved Nirvana but not so much the way Cobain checked himself out of life.

Kurt Donald Cobain (February 20, 1967 – c. April 5, 1994) was the lead singer, songwriter and guitarist of the Seattle-based rock band Nirvana. With the band's success, Cobain became a major national and international celebrity, an uncomfortable position for a man who once said, "Famous is the last thing I wanted to be."

Cobain and Nirvana helped reshape popular music in the 1990s. In 1991, the arrival of Nirvana's hit single "Smells Like Teen Spirit" marked the beginning of grunge and alternative rock.

Other well-known songs written by Cobain include "About a Girl," "Come as You Are," "In Bloom," "Lithium," "Heart-Shaped Box" and "All Apologies."

During the last years of his life, Cobain battled drug addiction and the media pressures surrounding him and his wife Courtney Love (Hole) and child Frances Bean. On April 8, 1994, Cobain's body was found in his home. His death was officially ruled a suicide by self-inflicted gunshot wound.

He married Courtney Love and had an addiction to heroine. In 1994 he put a gun in his mouth and blew his brains out.

There's a huge difference between Kurt Cobain and emo dumb azzes. Kurt Cobain was incredibly talented, and the emo's...not so much.

He was NOT emo, I am so insulted. He was an incredible songwriter and great musician. Also, I don't believe that he killed himself, I think his wife Courtney Love did it. Kurt Cobain was the lead singer of Nirvana!

He was the lead in the band Nirvana, who were quite possibly the best band in their generation. He killed himself quite a few years ago.

If you don't even know who Kurt Cobain is, I suggest you crawl back under your rock and stop dissing music genres you probably have no IDEA about. You certainly can't know much at all about good music if you don't even know Kurt Cobain.

First of all, you people need to get your stories straight. yes, Kurt Cobain was the frontman of Nirvana, a band that REALLY rocks. But do the research. He was found dead holding a 4-10 shot gun, and still had his boots on. There is no way that he could of shot himself with a shotgun, without useing his toes. So was it really suicide, or murder?
