Some women are just that controlling. It's not a bad thing if your a guy that has a difficult time making decisions, but this one sounds a bit psycho. If you must have a roommate to ease the cost of rent, then I suggest someone of the same gender. However, if you can't find anyone else then it is your choice. You will need to be a little tougher when you talk to your wife. Change the locks and have speed dial set at the local police. P.S. Did you ever think that filing for a divorce might be an option. She apparently wants the best of both worlds. She has the $ from you and sex from him. Get a backbone pal!

This is not your landlords problem, so leave him/her out of this. If you want to get a roomate, get a roomate. Tell the wife the only other alternative is that she pay half the rent until the lease is up. Get a strong lock of some kind that you can installed on the inside of the doors so you will be safe at night. It sounds like the wife is unstable. She's on the lease and some of her stuff is there, so she has a legal right to come in, but she can't be threateneing anyone. I guess the separation agreement doesn't cover this situation. If she continues the threats, warn her that you are going to call the cops. Not that they will do anything. Don't let her intimidate you. You have every right to live in peace. It's only a few more months.

There are so many sadnesses in that story. I am not sure where to begin. Your wife sounds very immature emotionally. She doesn't seem to have much respect for herself (cheating, fighting, etc) which makes it difficult for her to have respect for you. Because she does not respect you as a person, she views your needs as less important than hers.

She has no idea who she is or what she wants she just knows that whatever you want she's not going to give you. She seems like she needs some professional help- you might want to check it out as well to make sure you learn from this experience and do not repeat bad choices. Regardless, for your own sake I would cut ties with this woman as quickly as possible.

Do not forget that in a divorce court if she cheated and you didn't and she left you then you have the upper hand. The law is on your side, use it and then next time you fall in love make sure it's with a woman who knows what it means to be a woman- not a little girl.

Get a restaining order against your wife and ask the judge to remove her from the lease. File for divorce. Get a room mate if you need for financial reasons and live your life...

she made threats about this woman is because she still has feelings for you, that's why she's acting all jealous towards you when you mention this woman.
