It doesnt hurt and is not soft...doesnt bother him, but it worries me. It is not noticable through his thankfully thick hair. Anyone else ever had this?

Please have it checked out by a DR asap! My daughter had a hard lump come up on the side of her neck by her ear all of a sudden one night. The bump was as hard as bone, no tenderness no pain to it, no symptoms from it whatsoever! Turned out it was very malignant, blood counts and a biopsy confirmed it. My little girl is doing fine though, thank God! Not to scare you, i'm sure it's fne, just doesn't hurt to check it out soon please!

This may be a lump caused by a skull irregularity of or if it continues to get larger over time it could be ingrown hair(s). He should probably speak to his doctor about it just to be safe.
