I'm assuming there has to be some truth or possability to it. But if you've ever been pregant before or know somone who has. You'll know it would have to be pretty extrenuating cercumstances not to know that far into a pregnancy. The weight gain and other bodily changes would tell the person somthing is going on. I think it is an excuse for woman to hide it from family and their partners because they are scared of what they'll say.

It is possible, ESPECIALLY if you are prone to irregular periods. I was four months pregnant with my son berfore I found out, because I only menstruated twice a year. I never knew the difference. I went in to the doc to get my annual well-woman exam, and the doc told me I was pregnant just from looking at my cervix!

I would have made it to about five months if not for that appointment.
