I'm also well aware that smoking is bad for me, but I obviously don't care. So no lectures, thanks.

Not all smokers are as considerate as you are but thank you for being so thoughtful regarding others. I don't think you are irresponsible but you seem to have little regard for your own life. You sound like an educated level headed person so why do you insist on killing yourself ....committing suicide very very slowly? I watched my grandmother die of emphysema and my Aunt die of lung cancer - both brought on by smoking. Death was the easy part! The months and years preceding the deaths were hell on earth. Imagine carrying around an oxygen tank everywhere you go at age 50 until at 52 you cant leave your bed;not even to go to the bathroom. Imagine coughing up black mucus filled with pieces of flesh! Imagine your loved ones having to watch as your lungs fill up with fluid. This doesn't happen quickly but it is the most horrific thing I have yet to see. Please talk to someone in the health care industry and ask to see the patients who are in such situations. Spend a day with them and you will never light up again.

Hey, don't let the self appointed morality police get you down.

The really annoying thing about these people is how quickly they
are willing to throw away everyone's freedom to make thier own mistakes, because they don't agree with your choices.

Yes, smoking is dangerous, and I don't think someone your age
should do it. But I would never judge you for it. It's your life.

You have confessed you know smoking is bad. That is why people are hard on smokers as they, knowing pretty well that smoking is bad, still indulge in smoking, causing harm to themselves and to others who are near and dear to them as they have to see their own husband, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, wife, son, daughter facing death and getting treated in the cancer hospital. Hospital ceilings are boring not only for the patient but for the near and dear ones as well.

Because it is disgusting, it smells terrible and I have asthma! I don't want it anywhere near me, inside or outside. I shouldn't have to worry about having an asthma because someone feels the need to smoke.

We smokers are very stupid. We started for the wrong reasons and continue because it is easier than quitting. Nonsmokers think we are weak and stupid-and we are!!!
