Ones where lots of cute guys work! Just kidding. No, gays do anything and everything. Honestly, career skills have little to do with who you are sexually attracted to. Instead, they are individual traits. It's not as if we have a 'gay sector' of the economy. Lol, I can imagine. Homosexuals work everywhere- they do what they love, they do what pays the best, they do whatever is available. That's about it.

That being said, there are many stereotypical gay careers. It is believed that there are a higher concentration of homosexuals in the arts (like art, music, and especially theatre), interior design, fashion, modeling, and stereotypical "women's jobs" like secretarial work, food preparation, beauty care, etc.. Once again, I feel that these are individual traits, which may or may not coincide with one's being gay. I certainly wouldn't base my life on fashion just because I realized I was gay but had no real interest in fashion! Being born with the gay gene (if you believe that; I don't) certainly doesn't include genes for natural talent at "gay jobs". However, the experiences one has in being gay in today's world may give you certain special skills: openness, understanding, etc., and these may help you in careers like counseling and such, but again, this is not necessarily so.

I wouldn't base a career/job on sexual orientation. It's misleading. I mean, if I go off of that, then, by way of the Village People, I've gotten conclude that all gays should be cops, construction workers, etc.. Lol.

The gay men I know do the same work as everyone else.

There is a tendency to work in "macho" jobs (think Village People) law enforcemant, military, athetics (Dave Palone said he had been with "an ALL STAR team worth of baseball players), and construction. Then there are the actors and British rock stars.

well, call me square (I'm 53, I am square) man but they look for jobs they can be creative.. (Now, don't get me wrong.. my son's creative as hell but he's married and got a kid.) I think the homosexual males like jobs they can meet other men too (bars are out tho.. too many 'gay bashers' in there..) Gotta be a gay bar..gay bartender's a shoe in. I think male homosexuals kind of are stuck in all the same routine jobs the regular non-homosex. males have, truthfully.

My friend Skye sell real estate, his partner Joe works for a large grocery chain.

My co-worker Curtis works in informational systems dealing with Medicare products.

My friends Mike and Steve own their own construction firm.

My friend Mark does high end sales training for large corporations.

My cousin Jack owns a boat repair company.

There's Joe the chef, and Scott the biochemist, and Tito the house painter. Juan is a IT expert with the cable department, and his partner Marcus is a teacher.

Wait, wait I do know a guy who's a hair dresser!!! Oh, yeah, that's Eddie, my daughters friend but he's straight and engaged to get married. Sorry, but if he turns, I'll let you know.

What kind of jobs do heterosexual males look for? This question is sexually biased. Homosexual males look for the same jobs as any other male- and female for that matter.

I would think that there is not a certain "job" that homosexual people would look for. I think that no matter what job you have there are all types of people and sexual orientations there sometimes you just don't know what they are.

I personally don't know -- homosexual males look for any other job just like any body else. Just like anybody else -- you go where your interest or knowledge is best used. Let's see - for example -- teacher, doctor, lawyer, accountant, nurse, retail, fast food, hairdresser, fashion design, pilot, trash collector, salesman, air traffic control, social worker, coach, accounts payable clerk, mechanic, farmer, rancher, football player, manager, designer of cars, carpenter, contractor, etc etc etc.
