I and my spouse would work double time to get out of their hair. Two jobs, whatever it takes...

If you find it difficult to get along with your in-laws, you're relationship with your husband is going to suffer. Those are HIS parents, and if you don't get along with them, ultimately, he's going to feel like he's got to choose. Let's not forget to mention the fact that you're going to be very uncomfortable throughout the duration of your stay.

Take your time to save up for a house. It will be rough, but I think that, as far as your relationship with your husband is concerned, it would certainly be the lesser of the two evils.

I almost moved in with my mother in law ...love her to death but I could not live there, I got a house that my hubby and I are NOT paying rent. Its my godmothers house, we are taking care of it and just paying the bills and living here, MY point is ask any family members if they know of any one in the same suition, why not? It doesn't hurt to ask!

I have and let me tell you, it stunk!

What was supposed to have been a six month stay ended at less than two months because of their hateful ways. My mother in law didn't want me in the family because I am not christian. She acted childish and violent against me while touting biblical scripture!

Move out, forego life's little luxuries and save up. Moving in with anyone is going to affect your relationship with your partner.

Your marriage might not last long enough to see the house but if you can last and are disciplined enough to save....go for it.
