Okay, i hope this makes sense: I am on birth control pills. It comes with 21 'active' pills that i take for 3 weeks, then it comes with 7 'reminder' pills that i take for a week, which is when i should get my period. The 'active' pills say that they have hormones, and the 'reminder' pills say that they don't have hormones.

I take my pills everyday at the same time everyday that i should. However, i am worried about the 'reminder' pills. Am i aloud to have sex during the week i am on the 'reminder' pills? Because it says that they dont have hormones in it so i dont know if they will prevent pregnancy or not. The instructions dont say anything about if you can have sex during that week or not. I know i can have sex during the time i am on the 'active' pills. But am i protected during the week i am on the 'reminder' pills too?

If you have taken the active pills correctly, then you are fully protected during the seven days of reminder pills, because you haven't ovulated at all. The "period" you get while on birth control pills isn't a proper period at all - it's a withdrawal bleed, and it's not actually necessary to have it. There is no egg to shed.

The most important time to make sure that you are taking your pills correctly is the week before and the week after the reminder pills. If you miss a pill during the week before, then you should skip the reaminder pills and start a new pack, otherwise you are going for longer than 7 days without a pill and your chances of pregnancy increase dramatically. And after the placebo pills, if you miss another one, your hormone levels are low enough that you might ovulate.

The reminder pills are usually just sucrose - sugar - so you keep in the habit of taking a pill each day.
The pill has these so that you have the artificial bleed of a period when you stop taking the hormone tablets, but sure, you are covered for pregancy all throughout.
Don't forget that you can still get diseases, use a condom as well and get double protection from pregnancy. It sounds like you need to do a bit more reading up, check with your Dr. or talk to a trusted and knowlegable adult.

Yes, you can have sex while taking the "reminder pills".

The hormones in the "active pills" stay in your body even while you are taking the "reminder pills". The reason there aren't any hormones in these pills is so that you can have your period (it's actually not even a real period while you are on birth control, but that is for a different discussion). And the reason they want you to take the reminder pills is so that you keep in the habit of taking a pill every day.
