Actually, although the marks are from a really bad accident she had, they are also caused by a skin problem called keloids where your body produces more scar tissue than needed to heal a wound. Keloiding is a fairly common skin problem among African-American people.

It's not a skin problem. Those are scars from a bad car accident she had. Deelishis says she almost died so she keeps the scars as a reminder of how lucky she is to be alive. Also, the scars look like that because they are keloids. That happens when too much scar tissue forms. This is most common in black people.
