i had trouble with the skirting board ladder but got one in the end, then i had to get a spirit level bobble, an now the wife wants it painted in tartan paint! i think she is having a laugh at my expence. please help.

I fell for that! when i started a new job, they said to go to the hardware shop and get some Tartan paint and a new bubble for the spirit level. Luckily I caught on before I asked anyone in the shop.

Scotty's all weather tartan paint for decks and caravans. That should work inside just as well and save you a wee bit on the price.
