It is a requirement of the Food & Hygiene Regulations. No discrimination is made between those who have hair and those who do not. Sweat and skin flakes or dandruff can still originate from a bald scalp!

To look as stupid as the rest of us in catering! Maybe we should all be made to wear the one for the beards we dont have too to make it fair!

so they can hide their baldness if they feel a bit touchy about it and also to stop head sweat spoiling the h'ors d'oeuvres

because of discriminatoin,
You don't really need one but if they let one person not wear one then they could get sued, beliave it or not. It does sound silly though.

my friend is a bald chef and he doesn't wear one.... but then again no-one at his resturant does.....
