they don't have anything in common. anybody that tells you Iraq is on the road to democracy is either ignorant or a liar.
shia Muslims ( they people we support) are supposedly in charge, but there beliefs do not incorporate democracy. they believe only decedents of Muhammad are qualified to be in charge, that's not democracy but it is a fundamental belief. plus they are just killing each other like crazy. 655,000 dead so far. that's borer line genocide. Iraq has much more in common with anarchy then democracy.

Iraq has no real government yet let alone a democratic one...time will tell. The must go through a full cycle without us so they know what they are.
