The Parkinson's Reversing Breakthrough?

2016-05-16 07:25:10 · answer #2 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

Typical blagosphere distortion.

Here is what was said...

1- Rush Limbaugh claimed Fox was "either off his medication or acting" during the ad. "I think this is exploitative in a way that's unbecoming either Claire McCaskill or Michael J. Fox," Limbaugh said on his syndicated show.

While I don't share Rush's opinion that Fox was acting, I do think the ads are exploiting Fox's disease for political gain.

2 - Here is the ad. It is deeply moving and sad to see the effects of the disease. However, Michael J. Fox has admitted in the past that he times his medication so that the full effects of the disease can be displayed in interviews, political activism or other public arenas so "people can see how it effects" him.

i can't believe some of these people are defending him, I find that almost more horrifying than what he said. Rush Limbaugh is a fat windbag who shouldnt even have a radio show and the fact he does just shows how vile the majority of the population is.

It's not about Rush and it's not about Mike. It's about

I was listening to Limbaugh's broadcast at the time. Were you?
If you heard about the story without actually listening to Rush at the time then you might just be under the influence of liberal/leftist "spin".
He WAS NOT making fun of Fox.He was stating the FACT that Fox was exhibiting severe symptoms of his illness during a political advertisement. He then went on to say that he (Limbaugh) had seen Fox in many other public service announcements, and that Fox , until that time, had never looked quite so gripped by his illness.in any other public appearance.
He did , however , suggest that Fox may have been exagerating his symptoms to draw sympathy to his cause.
I would be interested to hear where you got your information from.It sounds like your source isn't fully informed,or that your source doesn't want to fully inform you!

Michael J is using his illness to push a political agenda. If he puts himself out there for criticism, well... Stem cell research is not even an issue most Americans care about or have an opinion on. He needs to focus time and IMMENSE wealth on his Parkinson's foundation, not politics.

Yes I heard about it. You can paint it anyway you like. Limbaugh is someone who should know about the results of "going off your medication." He's not a Doctor so he is no medical expert. Just a "medication" expert. He's a pud. Anyone who would support the jerk is a pud.

How low is it for a person with Parkinson disease to purposely stop taking his meds, so he can can be twitching in a commercial for Democrats. How sick is it the Dems have to use pity to get votes..

First of all, I heard what was said. In fact, he WASN'T making fun of Fox. The bill Fox was endorsing is about cloning, and has nothing to do with embryonic stem cell research. If Fox were to read the bill, he would know that. Also, stem cell research is LEGAL in Missouri, and the senator has no opposition to it.

He didn't make fun of him he simply stated that he'd never seen him in that condition and that, during the filming of the commercial, he felt he as acting or off his medication. That said, I think he was over the edge. The guy had an awful disease. Leave him out of it politics or not. Obviously I'm a Republican. We admit when our brothers and sister have crossed the line.
