I've had both- and found that the dalmation breed is generally a one person or one family dog and usually high-strung (not always accepting of outsiders) while a golden is usually very friendly with everyone- unless they are threatening toward the people the dog considers it's family. Please be careful if you are considering a dalmation if you have kids or are ever around any kids (especially little ones.)

depends onn the type of person u are. if u like being outdoors and are energenic, golden retriever. if ur more of an smart person, dalmation. and if u like things to be neat and clean nd dont really want a pet to play withm stick with the cat. golden retrievers can be very messy, but r faithful nd fun. but dalmations arnt that bad. theyre just kinda boring.

Golden Retriever. Dalmations are generally more hyper and don't have very good attention spans. Golden Retrievers tend to be sweeter and more calm.

DEFINATLY a golden retriever. I have 2 puppy golden retrievers and they are the best. There very easy to control and train too. If u go to a good breeder whos been doin it 4 awhile ur dog will turn out good. Trust me ive had 4 so far and they r more cuddly then ever!

Both are cute dogs but I hear that dalmations are very high strung and hyper so the golden retriever may be your best option, depending on what you're looking for that is.

Well...
It kinda depends.
If you have kids you should get a Golden retriever definetly.
If you do not have kids and alot of extra time then a dalmation is your perfect choice.

Dalmations have a reputation of not being good around small children. Take that into account when you make your decision. Myself, I'd get a retriever.

Dalmations shed a lot. Get a Retriever or get a cat . You don't have to walk a cat.

Golden Retriever much more of a calm family pet.
