(#1 problem ) 1/8y plus 10 = 14 1/8
(#2 probelm) a trapezoid there is a top and bottom and side and side which the numbers are top-7 bottom 13 sides-5 height is 4 how do i find the area
(#3 probelm) you have a circle there are 2 circle in the small circle has 2 radius which are 10 and 16( those aren't shade in). Somehow i am suppose to find the shade part! How do i do this and a web site please!!!

for problem #1...1/8y + 10 = 14 1/8

whatever you do to one side, u have 2 do 2 the other and since you are trying equal it out, u have subtract 10 because 10 -10 = 0 so...
1/8y +10 = 14 1/8
- 10 =-10
-------------------------
1/8y = 4 1/8

now, do the same thing...if u r multiplying there than, u have to divide. u r trying to find y by itself

1/8y = 4 1/8
----- ------
1/8 = 1/8

y = ?

how many time will 1/8 go into 4 1/8


y = 33

of the top of my head i can only answer the first one

(1/8y +10)=14 1/8 0r 113/8

mutiply both sides by 8

y +80 = 113

subtract 80 from each

y=33
