I think it's stupid because you were never born to hate either one your taste for music just became diffrent but still doesn't make you have to hate it.

It's not really the music that makes rap controversial, it's the violent, obscene nature of the lyrics that sets people off. Same thing for *some* rock music.
I love rock, I grew up on it. I'm not a big rap fan, for two reasons: I don't want to hear about killin' cops and ho's all day long, and on top of that rappers frequently rip off existing music as background for their rap (legally rip off, but rip off none the less). At least be original and write you own music. But I don't hate it, I just don't listen to it :)

I dont hate all rock and all rap. just some of it. Think about it. Whas not to hate about Lil John?..the guys ugly, loud, stupid and untalented and his biggest fans are people i would never associate with. Infact you would be ashamed just to be seen with them. On the other hand...i love Jurassic 5. They make intelligent music, have fun and have a message. Everybofy has a love/hate relationship with music. Deal with it. :-)

Most rock is fine, but if you listen to the lyrics in many rap songs, you get the immediate urge to KILL the rapper.
Society would be much better off without people with that attitude.

I personally prefer rock to rap, but i dont hate it.
Its just that rappers these days only talk about sex and drugs.
and some of them are really stupid because their songs are ripped off of childrens nursury rhymes.
rappers that use them, i have no respect for them.

there is nothing wrong with hating something...its just a matter of opinion, if everyone liked the same things we'd be clones, there would be no variety and we'd all go crazy.
