in school, my room , and time?

Things get overwhelming a lot of the time. I am thirty and am asking myself the same questions sometimes.

When it looks like you have too much to do, break everything into small steps.

In cleaning your room, you would start with a corner of the room and take care of everything in that partincular area. Then move on to the next thing.

With your homework, prioritize your assignments. Some count towards your grade more than others. Some are harder for you than others. It is up to you to decide which ones are more important, because you are the only one who knows your true capabilities. Work on the most pressing assignments and finish up with the easiest ones.

Remember, you only have 24 hours in a day like the rest of us. There are 168 hours in a week. We all deal with the same time constraints. When people complain about not having enough time, they are really saying they didn't plan out their day or week right.

Use a day timer or the Outlook or another calender program on your computer. This type or organization will help you now, in college and as you enter the work world.

When you go to bed at night or when you wake up in the morning, make a list of what you are going to do that day. If there is something that is not too favorable on that list, include ways of releiveing the stress that is associated. It may be asking for help from a classmate, teacher or parent.

Always break the steps into small parts. Two of my favorite sayings are "The best way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time." and "Keep it simple stupid."

We all have great futures ahead of us. What really matters is what we are going to do about acheiving them. Stay strong, take one step at a time, and everything will be just fine.

This must have been going on for a rather extended period, and that would be why you entered it under "HISTORY".
