adidas is a backronym (a type of acronym that begins as an ordinary word and is later interpreted as an acronym) It started as a simple word and later developed the acronym of All Day I Dream About Sports (Soccer) which the company used in some of their Ads and printed in logos.

yeah i think it ws origianlly just the brand but then korn came out with a song, and they made it stand for all day i dream about sex. lame but clever at the same time!!
