This happened in the state of Maryland! Maryland law forbids the taping of any phone conversation unless BOTH parties are aware of the taping!
If you research this story you'll find that Linda Tripp was facing charges for violating this law!
I know.....I live in Maryland!

Do you really have to ask that question?Do you let a drug dealer know he/she is being taped when trying to find out information?Linda Tripp wouldnt have done what she did if the Clintons hadnt of gone after her..,they managed to muscle the Irs to give her hell for years.Its was her pay back and I'm glad she did it.Hats off to Linda Tripp for not being bullied by the Clintons gang.

Because Linda Tripp was one of the people being taped and she had knowledge.
Plenty of evidence is admissable for purposes other than proving the truth of the matter asserted, by the way...
