Well, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland all used to be independent countries until some time in history when they got united and called themselves the United Kingom. For some reason, FIFA put them in National Teams according to how it was when they were not united (they don't count it like this around the rest of the world). However, these 4 teams played together in a couple games as United Kingdom.

Because there are four national governing bodies. To date though we have by the same right not been able to have a GB team at Olympic Football - there is no British FA. This might be changing though, although Wales and Northern Ireland fear that an Olympic team could be tantamount to a death-knell for their associations.

1) Not referred to as the UK as there are separate countries that have teams. Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England. Its just that the others aren't good enough to qualify! No chance of beating us. Coca cola is the sponsor of the Coca Cola Cup. This is not the English Premier league

england get in the world cup nearly every time. scotland look promising this time, republic of ireland are on the demise but look to have some good young players coming through. now n.ireland they have a good squad with good tactical awereness, not forgetting the fact they beat england and spain in recent times. in the next few years we may see northern ireland get into the world cup, but dont bet on it. it is unlikely that we could have a GB team in the world cup as there are four separate FA's and there is a large political issue about a GB team to take part in the olimpics, scotland in particular havef said that they do not want it and will see any unified GB team as proof of the inferiority which they dont want.

Its because England is pretty good, so it does not need it colonies, i.e. Scotland,N. Ireland and Wales (though people from these colonies refuse to admit they are colonised, and to those who disagree then why does England basically control EVERYTHING, like why do y'all have to learn English when u already have your own languages, and 'cultural identities' that you claim to have? And why are u called the UK when it suits England, e.g. at the Olympics to increase their medal tally?).
And to Alex P Africa is a continent not one big country with a bunch districts! Learn your geography dude!,
