Sure, I've run IE and Firefox simulatenously many times...

I use Internet Exploder, FirelessFox, & Opera all at the same time with different user names.
The Netscrape Version 8 won't do that because the morons sync cookies with IE and when you refresh a page, your username changes to whatever you are logged into IE with.

Proto just gave the same reply I have for you. I run Explorer and Mozilla Firefox together all the time. I'm using Firefox right now for Yahoo and have Comcast with IE minimized on my screen right now.

Of course, I've used IE and Firefox at the same time. However, I prefer to use Mozilla Firefox more often than IE.

Yes. You can have more than one browser. I currently run Firefox, IE 7.0, and Opera. They all work perfectly fine. You just have to be careful of exporting your settings and bookmarks and such.

No because if you do, your computer or laptop will freeze of sometimes a virus wil occur.
