get a peice of silk fabric and sew the ends and top and bottom and viola a silk scarf!

buy silk from a fabric store. either hem it with a sewing machine (looks nicer, but putsy) or use a surger (faster, but the edge doesn't look as nice) Or both, surge, then hem. That would probably be the easiest way to get it to look nice.
