If the democrats win, Charles Rangel will be the ranking member of the ways and means committee and he has already announced that taxes will go up and all of the Bush tax reductions will go away. If you look at the statistics the IRS puts out every year the lower 50% of wage earners will only pay 3% of the total income tax collected this year. The only reason democrats ever get elected is because they promise over and over again to tax the "rich" the top 50% and give the money to the "poor." Fortunately a lot of the folks who are unwilling to drag their butts to work will also sleep thru election day.

The middle class is doomed under the Republicans. Since the 70's the middle income has been going down. The President has been a Republican 70% of the time for the last 40 years. The Republicans are destroying the middle class.

Depends on how many subsistance programs they feel the need to fund for the mothers of 6 children by 5 seperate fathers because they didn't like to have sex, but were the victims of the society we've forced upon them. My guess would be high enough to enable most middle class American to qualify for some of those subsistance programs so we'll vote Democrat in future elections to keep our benefits. Anyone know where I can get an oz. of crack to supplement my income if that happens?

If they're smart they won't touch middle-class taxes. If they do raise taxes, it'll likely be on top wage earners-- e.g. top 1-2%.
They shouldn't touch taxes at all-- they need to reduce spending. But then all the corporate welfare junkies will cry, and all the subsidy pigs at the trough will cry too, oh and all the military-industrial complex guys will bust a gut.
Don't worry- you don't even come close. Go back to flipping burgers.
