I would consider myself to be a real rider, but I haven't really fallen.... only slid myself off when riding bareback.
You have to fall off seven times, though, to be a real cowgirl, I guess I'd better start falling, lol!

I wouldn't say it makes you a Real rider but if you never fallen off you're more likely to be afraid to fall off than someone who has. They've had the chance to put it behind them and move on someone who's never been off hasn't realized that it's really not scary and most people never get hurt in a fall, it might be more at the front of their minds if they're in a new experience or on an unknown horse.

No, getting help from someone who can teach how to ride makes you a good rider. I have had several horses, and I guarantee you that you will get hurt in every possible that a horse can hurt you if you are around them long enough, like, your foot being stomped on, bit, falling off, kicked hard, pushed accidently by the horse. Most of these things are accidents, most horses, if well taken care of will not intend to hurt you. But by virtue of their size and muscular strength and plus you have to get really close to them to do anything with him, is enough to guarantee pain in some way. And this includes experienced well-trained riders. Like Reeves (superman), remember? Having a well-trained horse that is very gentle and not easily spooked is the best bet for a beginner.

no!! It just makes you a sore rider!!!! Ive taken a few falls in my time and I never noticed any improvement in my riding skills after it! They say until you've had nine falls off a horse you're not an acomplished rider! Unfortunately - it comes with the territory of horses so its inevitabley gona happen to us all! xx

falling off does not make you a real rider someone could fall off the first time they ride, but that wouldn't make them a real rider. if you get back on though that does show courage and only continueing to ride will make you a real rider

lol no, I am a horse owner myself and fallen off to where I lost count, but that was more like.. bucked off also. Falling off of a horse gives you experience and makes you more trained and gives you more knowledge of how you can be prepared next time. It's something to learn from. Always get right back on the horse, it will boost your confidence and will show the horse who's the boss.

Yes - falling off means that you've made a mistake and is part of the learning process. I've fallen off because I was not paying attention to my horse, because I came into a fence too close and the horse couldn't jump it & quit, because I didn't check my tack and had a girth break & saddle go. Even when your horse shies at something that came out of no where, as long as you're properly balanced, heels down, and know how to stop your horse from bucking or rearing, you won't fall off. Everytime I've fallen I've learned from that lesson and taken steps to correct my riding (or tack check) so as not to do it again.

No, What makes you a real rider is learning, being able to be told what your doing wrong and then fixing it. Falling off pretty much lets you know that you did something wrong. It toughens you up for that next ride and makes you want to stay on even more after that bruised butt.
