Why not just ask him?
Get a program called 007, and save it to floppy disc, re-boot the computer and enter the system Bios, change the boot drive to floppy and re-boot with the floppy in the drive, and hey presto all the passwords will appear, by-passing all the securities windows and anything else have!
P.S.
Don't forget to reset the boot options.

Some website that require a password offer a save password option and if your son does save it, all you need to do is find out
his user id log-in....

In other case, look for clues around the computer's desk or in his
bedroom when he is not home...

In extreme case, call for technical support involving the account and pretend its your account and you forgot the password...

Assuming you have admin access, you can't see his password, but you can change it.
Control Panel>User Accounts.
