God I hope so. I am not a democrat but I will be voting for every dem on the ballot next Tuesday just to get rid of the simple-minded bigots we have in office now.

Forget about national polls, voters don't vote for senators on a national basis, you have to look at the individual "competitive" races of which there are only 5 or 6. Go to Rassmussenreports.com for an overview. Also polls historically give more votes to women and democrat candidates, there are a lot of reasons but it is historically true. If you followed the 2004 pre-election and exit polls you know how accurate they are, just ask President Kerry, oops. Also in "off" years (no presidential race) about 30% fewer people go to the polls, and fortunately for the republicans a lot of old white folks ALWAYS vote and they usually vote republican, this election the polls are showing that a lot of folks support a change, but the folks who actually show up at the polls are still going to keep control of the house and the senate with the republicans. The democrats win the polls because they get called at home, the republicans win the elections because they actually vote.

Well, most of the polls can be "jostled" to indicate what someone would want them to. Also, they are not 100% accurate. Actually, I pay very little attention to what the polls say. I vote for whom I want and let the polls do the same. I plan to vote a strict Republican ticket because I do not accept ANY of the BS the liberals spew around. WHILE WE ARE ON THE SUBJECT OF VOTING::::::::: Your vote (still) counts. BY NEWT GINGRICH
I know you wouldn't think so if you've been listening to the elite media.
They've been telling us for weeks now that the election is over and one side has already won.
s like I Said: It Ain't Over Until It's Over
And they've been telling us one more thing that is unsupported by the evidence:
Conservatives are less likely to turn out and vote this year. But this is not what I see when I meet
with Americans across the country. And it's not what the polls are showing. In fact, when the
Gallup Poll recently asked conservatives how motivated they feel about getting out and voting this year,
a full 70 percent said they were extremely or very motivated about the elections.
I know you understand the importance of turning out to vote on November 7 for a safer,
stronger and more prosperous America. But I want to make sure that your neighbors,
your co-workers and the people at your place of worship know it too. Our vote counts.
Let's not let the elite media fool us into thinking otherwise

I hope Democrats do win the Senate. I see them as the lessor of two evils. No one could be worse than Bush and Republicans.

It seems like an unwritten law that when an administration has to leave the White House because their duration is over, the new one to come is from the other party. It was very often like that. This way, the policies were in balance, seen from a wider perspective.

I certainly hope the democrats win this midterm election....8 years of Bushy politics is enough. the guy is a nut and cannot believe ANYONE voted for him to begin with.....look at our world now compared to when clinton was in office......we are worse off economically, foreign affairs are in a mess, we are in a war we cannot win, we are in debt up to our ears and are drwoning in the interest....the thing is, what is going right?

Anything is possible........funny thing about Republicans they are more apt to vote, especially when someone says they will lose.

The Democrats couldn't win a BINGO game if they rigged it themselves. Everyone's tired of their vitrol and their lies.
