I love names that fit something in your family. I love the name Jacquina Kataya (kind of rhymes), but my husband and I are as caucasian as they come, and the name would just not fit our babies. If you love Jesus, there are some great names out of the Bible that would be great, like Phoebe and Berea. I also love names that you might find in your family tree that are beautiful but haven't been used a lot lately, like Olive, Lorraine, Roberta Jean, etc.
I'm not sure why you mentioned your age, but in case it was to find some reassurance, I would like to give you some. Don't worry about you or your baby- honestly stress just makes things worse and don't help you. I don't know where you are in your faith walk right now, but now is a great time to discover Christ's love and forgiveness. He will certainly take care of you- he takes care of the birds, and how much better are you then they!! God knows how this is already going to turn out- so just ask Him for His presence and He WILL hold you in His arms. I've had two babies now, and they were uncomplicated, yet at times I had to remind myself of my own advice. Don't let the people who are throwing stones at you get to you. They must not have read the passage where it warns against being critical abotu someone's sliver when they have a huge plank coming out of their eye. I've already been praying for you.

I don't see why people on here are giving you a hard time about being 16. Honey let me tell you that I think you are a great girl for keeping your baby. Too often girls in your position choose the so called easy way out and have an abortion...thats just not right. So I say GREAT job and congradulations!!
Is the father in the picture? Did the 2 of you plan on having a baby together or is it something that happened and then he ditched you? I hope he is there....I can't imagine going thru the most special day of your life without the person who helped you to create it.
Is your family supportive? I hope so. Not everyone does what is right by society all the time. If you are happy so should they. But if not and you don't have someone to talk to you can always email me. I am here and I have experience in being a Mom and a friend. I am 27 and have a 20 month old little boy Dylan who is my heart and soul. But if my Dylan would have been a girl....his name would have been :
Olivia Elaine.....I love that name! Also I like Isabella
Good luck and God bless!

Well I'm assuming you knew that people were going to be harsh to you... uh yeh, you're sixteen. But that's better then having an abortion I suppose. Well since I had a boy I'll give up the name I wanted to give my baby if we had a girl....
Amber Rose....
or I always liked Ayla too. From the book Clan of the Cave Bears. That's a beautiful name as well.
And even if you are just an attention getter maybe this post will help someone else find a name for their baby girl!
Good Luck!

I think people are sooo ignorant to make comments like mistake or oops! I was only 19 when I had my son, with the babys father and my parents blessing. If you dont know the whole situation...dont say such hurtfull things. I cant say I'd want a kid at 16 but who knows. it could be a great thing. On that note, i love the name gabrielle or gabriella. its elegant and classy. Also a pretty name is Rose.

Dont let all the people who gave you rude answers get you down, so you are pregnant at 16, big freaking deal, at least you are a good enough person to do the right thing and raise your child rather than having an abortion like some selfish people would. I agree with the person who said Crystal is a good name but thats beacuse its my name, I also like Jaylene or Rayne. Good luck to you! =)

Two really good websites are babycenter.com and 1-2-3-baby-names.com. I really like Madison, Makayla, Channeri, Cheyne, and Zoe. Don't listen to them about "depro" and "mistake". All babies come from God. Although the pregnancy was not planned, you do your best to be a good mom and hold your head up high. Anyone who looks down on you is not worth the effort of you giving them more than one thought!!!!!
