I don't know how reliable this is, but some people use candles. The spell pertains to the color of the candle. You should get red(love), pink(attraction), and orange(changing plans, openeing new doors).
Burn those every night for an hour and see what happens. If it doesn't work, at least you have created a nice ambiance for yourself.
