Althea is the old latin name for Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus)... "Diana" is a cultivar of Rose of Sharon.

Generally Rose of Sharon will get from 6'-12' tall, and up to 8' wide. It prefers a sunny location, with good watering, especially in the fall. It will adapt to most garden locations. Prune it in the fall, while it has no leafs, if you want to contain the size of the plant.

Diana is a White flowering variety.

I hope that this helps
Good luck-
