when do u get a repeating decimal and when do u get a terminated decimal?? what do there equal fractions have to do with y they r repeating or terminated??

a repeating decimal is usually gotten by a fraction over 3 or 9, fractions terminate when they go evenly into the number above them, they terminate when they don't, and can't divide evenly

A repeating decimal is when a set of numbers repeats every time, just as when you divide 8/3 = 2.66666666...

A terminated decimal is when the quantity of numbers is mesurable, like 5/2 = 2.5

divide 1 by 3 and you'll get a repeating decimal. (Try it). Then
see what happens when both numerator and denominator are odd. (try it)
