Turn them on if you want people to come to your house and turn them off if you dont won't them to come, because you are out trick or treating youself.

Honey, It all depends on what you are doing for Halloween. Are you involved in the holiday? If so, leave the light on. You can even leave a bowl of candy with a note telling the kids the # of candy they can get. If you don't wont to pass any out. The other alternative is to turn the light off. This lets the kids know not to bother you on your evening because you are not participating in the hoilday.

If you keep you front porch light on on Halloween night, the little goblins will come & trick you. So unless you want to give some candies away, keep it off
BTW, I will keep mine on!

ON -- that means that you want children to come around and beg for candy and don't mind it at all.

OFF -- that means that you do not want to be disturbed on Halloween night -- and just would like to be left alone and not have children begging for candy and ringing the doorbell.

Definitely on but my son will be passing out the candy because I have to take my little ones trick or treating.

Off. The kids in my neighborhood are WAY too annoying.

Also, I live on a private street, so no one really ever comes here anyway.

Well you turn them on if you want kids to come to your house, and you turn them off if you dont want them coming to your house.

I Hoped we would be moved into our new house by now I was hoping to have my porch light turned on for halloween!

On. Even though I've never gotten any trick or treaters, I always buy candy just in case.

I'm hoping my hot neighbor will come over and trick or treat.

Lights on. I love to give out candy in my costume. I mean...would you take that experience away from the youngsters?
