I want to buy it (BIG FAN of Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge) but I am not sure if it is worth it since I heard they went more 'emo' and i am more into punk/metal. THOUGH I really love the single Welcome to the Black Parade. I was just wondering if the rest of the cd is like that and songs that have a faster tempo (metal/punk riffs) that i can buy. thanks alot.

Okay, remember how "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" sounded?...Forget it all...It doesn't sound anything at all like that. "The Black Parade" is a major departure from their previous two albums. For example, the track "Teenagers" doesn't sound like anything you would expect from them...It may be me, but a lot of it sounds more mellow for some reason...Like it blends together sounding all the same...It's more than likely just me though...

I wouldn't recommend avoiding it, however...I picked it up at Best Buy yesterday for $9.99 on sale yesterday, so it's not going to kill you to pick it up. Just be prepared for a radical departure from what you're used to.

* Interesting note- After listening to the track "House of Wolves", listen to "Detroit Rock City" by KISS. Am I the only one who thinks they sound alike with that guitar riff?

I just bought it offa itunes like an hour ago...iss pretty damn awesome. The End./Dead! (two beginning songs) definitely set the tone for the rest of the album. So far, its half and half on the emo/punk stuff.
