First, you multiply the numerator (3) by -4, which is -12. Then you just stick on the denominator (4).

So the answer is:

-12/4
= -3/1
= -3

First of all a negative times a positive is always a negative number, so your answer will be a negative number. 4 is the same thing as 4/1, so to multiply 3/4 X 4/1 you multiply the numerators 3 and 4 and place the answer over the denominators 4 times 1.

take 3/4 and change it to just 3 (take of the number below - called the denominator) and multiply it by 4 (take of the negative sign) then you have 12, add a - sign in front, and add the /4 back on to the bottom, ask your teacher for help!

You do 3/4 and 4/1 and then multiply 3times 4 and then 4times 1 then give the answer a negative sign .because with two different signs the answer is negative but with two positive signs the answer is positive ,, two negative signs the answer is negative(your answer will be a fraction

3/4*(-4)

Change the 4 into a fraction.
3/4*(-4/1)

Multiply the numerators by each other and the denominators by each other.
3*-4=-12
4*1=4

So then you would get:
-12/4

Simplify. (Find the LCD, Least Common Denominator, which is 4 in this problem.)
-3/1
-3

And I don't think this is third grade math, but here ya go!~
