thanks tony c, i was actually wondering just that or maybe putting something like that over the light to create the color.
gonna be an awesome light in my vaulted ceiling in the kitchen

Most lighting stores or electrical supply sell a colored tube that the lamp(bulb) slides into , they have all colores and you cut to size with a hack saw blade or a razor.I think there 4 ft. and about $2.00

Because flourescents don't emit any heat, you can wrap a standard tube in your favourite coloured celophane.
