There is a strong Christian influence in our laws in the United States.

Also, technology is usually 50 years AHEAD of society and LAWS are usually 50 years BEHIND society, which makes for some very interesting dilemmas within the existing culture. (Which is probably the understatement of the century.)

europe lost control due to opressive laws during the reformation
America is next

so blame your lawmaking constituents for opression and forcing
their own veiws upon all

For example the woman who started MADD was convicted of drunk driving herself, wonder how she feels now?

marriage laws. bigamy is a Christian concept. The idea that women are humans in their own right is a Christian concept too. Christianity influenced the laws to end slavery. take your pick
